The Soltilo Angkor FC v Police Commisionary FC match on Saturday 3rd of July, which was part of the restart to the MetFone C-league season has even canceled due to a player testing positive for Covid-19. This is currently the only match to have been officially suspended, with all of the other matches taking place in the greater Phnom Penh area.

Whilst life in Phnom Penh has largely gotten back to normal, Siem Reap has seen a spike in Covid-19 cases as well as so called “Red Zones”. The city also has an alcohol ban, as well as a 10 pm curfew, not ideal for football fans.
There was briefly concern that the Electricite Du Cambodge v Asia Euro United FC would be suspended, but this has since been confirmed as taking place. All of the other matches are set to go ahead on schedule this weekend, through the following fixtures.

As of yet fans are not being allowed back into the stadiums, with even staff having to have been vaccinated, as well produce a negative Covid-19 test (and certificate) prior to entering the stadium.
Sadly no one quite knows yet, with the coronavirus situation being an ever-evolving beast, but with the rapid rates of vaccinations happening in Cambodia, we can only hope it is sooner rather than later.

And of course we still have the TV, which not only will give us C-League action, but who knows maybe England finally reaching the final of the European Championships?
