The move comes just over s month since the player signed from Angkor Tiger and will see him take part in. the Ligue Futebol De Timor-Leste (FFTL), the top-tier of Timorese football, which will resume on February 17th. The league had previously been suspended due to Covid-19.
The latest move follows a number of players who have left clubs and the country after being released, loaned out to foreign clubs, or are currently inedible to play due to the FIFA transfer window being closed.
The reason for this is the move from a calendar year season to a European style summer to summer season, meaning 8 month gap between the end of the 2022 season and the start of the 2023 season.

Sadly it confirms what many expected that the league cup is somewhat impotent and being seen more as a friendly tournament, rather than the “2023 Cambodian Championship”.
Reasons for this are varied, but core among them are a lack of sponsorship and prize money, which has created a vicious cycle of a lack of interest from clubs and thus fans.
The 2022 Cambodian League Cup ended up costing many smaller clubs more than they could afford, with the net result being only 14 teams taking part in 2023 , as opposed to the 16 teams hoped for by CNCC and the CPL.
Sadly this means fans will have to wait until May and the SEA Games to see good, competitive football within the Kingdom.
