The season might be a way away yet, but we can still start thinking about who the next champions might be. In the second of our CPL club focus series, we take a look at the Hun Sen Cup holders Visakha FC

The reigning cup champions for three years running, which is obviously no mean feat. They have also managed to come within the top four for their 3 years in the top-flight since winning the second division.
Their form might not have been fabulous last year and one might argue it was the format that helped them get runners-up, but again stats do not lie.
Yet to win a legate title but were only formed in 2016 and can be seen as the Manchester City of Camp domain football. Three consecutive wins in the Hun Sen Cup, one runner-up in the CPL and one Second Division title.
The question is not if they will win the league, but when.

Currently part of the big three of Cambodian football with PP Crown and PKR Svay Rieng.
The club play at the amazing 7,000 seater Prince Stadium. By far the best club stadium in Cambodia and has been host to a number of international matches. Sheer proof of the investment in the club.

Previously managed by the brilliant Callum Curtis they have frequently changed manager of the last few years. The current coach is Simon McMenemy from Scotland.
As a top club the team boast a number of truly great players, many of them young. Last year they made a big money signing in Sa Ty from EDC FC, a true national here, and they have since added Mouziinho of Timor-Leste to their ranks.

Despite their success in league and cup the club are desperate to be named CPL champions na nothing short of that will be seen as a success. The club will also be hoping to do well in continental competition and with their big squad and deep pockets can expect to do well.
