Group B

The big game of the weekend was undoubtedly between the top two, Crown and Svay Rieng.  That new attacking line up couldn’t live up to the pre match hype and Crown do what they do and won.

The Siem Reap derby was an entertaining 0-0 draw played in front of a crowd of just over 1000 fans. Although Tiger had more of the ball and looked more impressive in the way they play, Soltilo were very strong organised and had the better chances across the course of the game.

However it was Nagaworld that stole the show of the weekend taking on impressive ISI at their newly formed AIA Stadium and ran out 3-0 winners.

GROUP A

Group A had somewhat a familier feel to it with results going the way you would expect.

Army made it 2 out of 2 with their win over Koh Kong. Army fan Dan Axten took on myself in this week’s League Cup Predictor unfortunately he could only predict 2 from 6 which wasn’t enough to beat my 4 from 6.

There was a comedy of errors on the game between Vishaka & BK. When will us western coaches realize screaming and shouting at referees will get you nowhere here? Vishaka ran out comfortable winners 3-1.

Then finally Kirivong also made it 2 from 2 with a win over Prey Veng. Last season basement club have won 2 in a row now and are becoming a dark horse to go deep in this tournament.
