Cambodia Becomes Adidas Main Supplier as Diversification From China Continues

Cambodia made 21 percent of Adidas’ sports clothing in 2021, followed by
China with 20 percent and Vietnam with 15 percent, according to a report
from the German based sports apparel maker.

China has been the largest manufacturer for Adidas for over a decade and in 2013 accounted for 33 percent of their manufacturing, with only minimal operations in Cambodia at the time. This has steadily increased over the last ten years as the company has sought to diversify from mainland China, something that has been accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic.
