Tiger & Crown remain unbeaten

Matchday five saw Svay Rieng overcome a very resolute Nagaworld and Tiger made it 4 out 4 for the season meaning both them and Crown are the only teams that remain unbeaten so far this season.

Elsewhere Life FC and Ministry were given harsh lessons on life in CPL and ISI are looking a shadow of the team that almost sneaked it’s way into the top four last season.

Tigers real tests are coming…….

Tiger overcame Kirivong to move joint top of the table, level on points with Svay Rieng (having played a game less) and Crown. With the new stadium having finishing touches applied it’s more impressive that they’re currently playing all their games away from home and given their actual head coach doesn’t have a coaching qualification to his name you can only sit back and applaud their start to the season.

Wins against Ministry and Kirivong are to be expected but others against ISI and Tiffy Army are the clearest indication that this Tiger team is improving and are ready to be the ‘best of the rest’ outside the 3 big boys of Svay Rieng, Crown and Vishaka.

However the bigger tests are coming with Vishaka & Nagaworld both to play before the Pchum Ben holidays. If they come out of those two games unbeaten then we will be talking about Tiger pushing for a top 4 place, if they win both of those then who not the title?

Nagaworld was unlucky to lose and Vishaka are back…

Naga lost at Svay Rieng but can count themselves both unfortunate and disappointed with the eventual outcome. For 30 minutes they bossed the game only to lack the ruthlessness needed to win these games. Going in one down at half time would’ve been a huge blow and the second half mirrored the first with Naga having the better of the game but not able to punish their opponents slackness.

Elsewhere Vishaka pummeled Ministry 9-0 in a game clearly outlining the gulf in class between the bottom and top half clubs. It was a bad day at the office for Ministry who uncharacteristically folded quicker than a baby playing chess. They play Army this week needing something.

Round Up….

Elsewhere Boeung Ket beat Life FC 5-1 and Tiffy Army drew 2-2 with ISI. Tiffy are slowly beginning to find their feet but for ISI and Boeung Ket it looks like it will be a stop start style season for both of them..As for Life FC, the ‘so called’ champions of league two and the team everyone is applauding daily for their quick development, they’re learning the hard way about life in the top flight of Cambodian football.
