Just 5 days to go until the CPL League Cup 2023 begins and each week I’ll be looking ahead to The games giving some insight on how teams could approach the game. I will also and review every game and give analysis on where teams have won and lost the battle. What’s more is that every week I will challenge one fan to go head to head in a prediction game for a chance to win some amazing prizes.

Vishaka take on little brother Prey Veng in what should be a straight forward win for the CPL giants.
Prey Veng will give a good account of themselves, they always do, but we all know there is only one winner allowed here.
A mouth watering tie between Kirivong and Koh Kong could honestly go either way. Kirivong were poor last season but new coach Venta is out to showcase his talents and he has begun building a squad to do so. Koh Kong will be tough to beat but I think Kirivong will have just enough.
Tiffy Army will host League Two champions EDC in another game that’s sure to be on a knife edge. Both have been quiet in the off season and it’s a contrast of styles with Army being disciplined and rigid in structure whilst EDC are fluid and free flowing. I think Army will have enough to get over the line.
Champions Crown will start at home to Soltilo is what should be a straight forward win. Soltilo can play with no fear and that sometimes makes the underdog dangerous but Crown are too professional and won’t allow any slip ups.
Tiger will host the most dangerous team in the competition outside the top 4, ISI. They’re a club making big moves and with money behind them they will be challenging at the top level of the game on this country soon. For me they’re the dark horse of this competition and I’m backing them to outclass Tiger this weekend.
The final game will see Nagaworld host Police. It’s honestly a game that could go either way but Naga are in the process of evolution with their move to Kampong Speu and Borey in as head coach. Police are always tough to beat but Naga will have too much for them.
Svay Rieng and Boueng Ket will rest this weekend which means an agonizing wait to see that Svay Rieng front line in action.
